NOVEMBER 2004

Well what a summer!
Where did it go?

We have been exceptionally busy here at Davison Highley all this summer with record sales and some fantastic Bespoke projects completed

The biggest and most complex project of the summer was for Conran and Partners' latest, at the Mezzo site in Wardour Street.

With only an 8 week manufacturing window, we designed, manufactured, and installed very distinctive furniture and banquettes for three very different situations.

We developed the horizontally rolled seating shown here for the Mesa Restaurant, which is located on the ground floor, with a Spanish theme and menu.

Floridita, on the lower floor, has a distinctly "Cuban" night club atmosphere, and features booth banquettes in white Spinneynbeck leather, private dining areas, while our New York, 5th Avenue armchairs and sofas in metallic anthracite leather feature heavily in the loose furniture package.

A very interesting detail is the silk embroidery of the stunning Royal Floridita logo directly on to the leather upholstery on our Sugar cube chairs.

Our designer Jo, can be seen here modelling the Sugar Cube.

Separate from the restaurants on the ground floor is Casa Habana, a speciality cigar shop, which also uses our Sugar Cube chairs and white Spinneybeck leather seating areas.

Meza is at 100 Wardour Street, Soho, London.

...But don't think that was all we have been doing !

Although we did not show at 100% design as Davison Highley, we were well represented there.
We showed a ROLO chaise in Silver and Metallic Grey leather on the Andrew Muirhead stand (below left).
On the ELMO stand were our Chit and Chat tub chairs upholstered in Rustical with the brand new "frosted" leather on the inside faces (below right).

...and of course in our spare time we made the brand new upholstered designs for for Russell Pinch on his exciting debut PINCH stand.

Next month ....Keep your eyes open for something VERY BRIGHT from Davison Highley to cheer up the winter months!
