AUGUST 2005

There is always something new going on here at Davison Highley... and July was no exception with a new record month for the order book and some very exciting projects in the workshops.

A large private health-care reception project provided the incentive for us to design and develop a flexible series of units with both inside and outside curves .

As the seat elements are mirrored on end-elevation, these can be placed along with "seat-only" elements and tables to form a huge variety of layouts.

An extremely user-friendly and comfortable design has evolved, and one which a visiting designer saw being built and immediately placed an order for on another project.

We have called it Buzz and we will be launching it "officially" with a full range of sizes and shapes in the very near future. (see below).

The bespoke workshop has been busy too, having just produced this impressive free-form sofa for a client.

The whole thing is designed to fit around a large column on site and it is a very impressive piece indeed upholstered in crimson fabric. (see below).

The third development of note has been brought about by "public demand", and this was a request to manufacture a loose-cushion version of our top-selling 5th Avenue design.

Produced for our clients in white Alcantara, they also took the opportunity to specify the alternative timber legs (Cherry in this example).

In the event, there were quite a few changes to incorporate, so we have given it the working title Broadway to differentiate it from the 5th Avenue design.

The overall dimensions however remain the same. Expect to see more of this design later in the year but of course it is available now to special order.

The Fast Track concept we told you about last month has met with significant interest, especially good news at a time of year when traditionally many folk take their holidays.
Our Solid Colour Glass Tables now have a page of their own on the website. and we also have produced a new brochure page showing the colours and sizes.

Oh yes.....another "by public demand"........we have been asked to make the earlier newsletters available, so now you can find them archived over on the left hand edge of the news & events page on our web-site at www.davisonhighley.co.uk
