It is that time of season when one suddenly becomes aware just how fast the year has flown past.
A quick analysis shows that during a very challenging trading period we have much to be proud of.
We have successfully introduced four new designs into our collection, all of which are doing very well indeed, and the level of business is increasing daily.
It is always possible that with well over 3,500 clients on our database, we may still have to update your presentation binders with all of the new products.
Tim, Kate and Elise personally introduce the designs to as many of our friends as possible, but you may still need the new pages, or indeed you may have used yours up on presentations.

Although we mainly focus on our collection designs these days, I am often asked to show some of the other remarkable pieces that emerge from the DH workshops.
There is something special which we only make occasionally, ......and then strictly as commissioned pieces.....In fact we have only ever produced about 20 of them, and they are quite a departure from our contemporary collection.
They are also, as the ad says, "reassuringly expensive"
It all started some years ago when we saw a very glamorous photograph of Coco Chanel, taken in the '30s.
She was smoking a cigarette in a long holder and lounging in a decadent manner along a huge sofa in her Paris flat.
The scale and detail of the arm on the sofa appealed, and we could see that there were multiple layers of cushions, both fitted and loose.
I personally wanted to make one but that was all the information we had to go on. If we were to undertake the project it would very much be an homage as opposed to a replica.
Fortunately we had a client who could afford one, so we worked-up the design and then upholstered it in beautiful Edelman Royal Suede.

Since then we have produced the sofa for a small number of clients, and usually it is upholstered in the same suede... one notable exception being one pair of sofas for a high-profile celebrity in Crocodile leather!
The "Coco" sofa proportions work best at about 2.7m long, as shown on this pair which we have just completed for a client in Moscow, but as every one is built to order in our bespoke department this often varies. So if you win the lottery, or have a significant Christmas bonus lined up...

Other interesting projects in our workshop just now include the 2nd phase of the new VIRGIN ATLANTIC Upper Class Lounge at Heathrow.
Here is a picture of phase 1 which we completed in July.
Never a dull moment !
