I am happy to report that in these challenging times we seem to be bucking the trend and that we find ourselves extremely busy, with a large number of major projects in hand and booked-in for months ahead.

It is interesting that currently the designs which have sent sales rocketing here at Davison Highley are mostly our top-end ones.

In the last two months, for example, we have delivered over one hundred of our Fifth Avenue and Broadway sofas and armchairs upholstered in leather and fabrics...

...in addition to completing three projects with our recently added ANDES design sofas and armchairs in fine leather...

Yet more beautiful British built and designed furniture delivered on time, and on budget!

It seems to me that being British is even more important just now, as there is a very significant environmental benefit, in that the Furniture Miles are low, averaging less than 8 (Yes just EIGHT) Furniture Miles for every London-delivered chair or sofa that we manufactured last year. And of course we do manufacture everything ourselves here at High Wycombe, under our own complete control at all stages. An additional benefit to you, our clients, is that you can easily come here and see your project in manufacture while enjoying a cup of tea with the actual chaps who are making it for you. At this time of year it’s also very important to you that we are British because we don’t close for August like some other Countries !

As usual, the custom workshop is thriving and always has interesting challenges.

We have been retained to design and make “Tom and Jerry” furniture for a client.

Here is a small preview of one of the designs we have done for this project... Jerry’s “Cheese Bed”... which is currently in manufacture, softly upholstered in cheesy yellow leather...

But it’s lots of fun to do and keeps everybody smiling!
