24th May- 14:00 - 14:45:

Burtt-Jones & Brewer and Sabre Tooth Panda Present Free Range Workspaces

Steve Brewer and Adam Burtt-Jones from Burtt Jones & Brewer along with Aran Rees from Sabre Tooth Panda will be discovering what it means to find *invisible answers* in a complex world.

The Free Range Workspace experience draws attention to the reality of design work in the 21st century which will increasingly require both clients and designers to be comfortable with uncertainty, improvisation and collaboration.

The Free Range Workspace experience highlights the nature of complexity and the limits of individual insights, and helps participants consider how they respond to working without control or a fixed hierarchy.

We hope that everyone who joins us for this workshop will emerge with a deeper understanding of the sorts of creative skills they need to develop in order to be better designers and, in general, better creatives.

Burtt-Jones & Brewer began over a coffee. A beverage that founders Adam (Burtt-Jones) and Steve (Brewer) are very particular about. Much like their design solutions. They simply believe that when ‘design’ is placed at the heart of all decisions it will, and does, transform workspaces for the better.

Aran Rees works with individuals and groups using a combination of coaching techniques, mindfulness, games, and personalised brain training regimes. He consults, coaches and collaborates with every one of his clients to ensure the end result is something that comes from them, but that they’d never have thought would come from them before.

25th May- 13:30 - 14:10:

Our Angel & Aria benches complement the sofa ranges of the same name, with the same beautiful stitching details and proportions.

Brewhouse Yard:

Home to the Davison Highley showroom:

A unique space at the heart of Clerkenwell, Brewhouse Yard is temporarily transformed for CDW into a gateway to the area’s showrooms, sponsored by Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward. Two site-specific installations – designed by leading architecture practices Studio Egret West and BDP – take on the subterranean surface and elevated levels of this key public space.

At the apex of Brewhouse Yard, an information point and pop-up coffee shop in association with OnOffice magazine are accompanied by temporary public seating provided by Marshalls. Bringing together original installations and visitor information and orientation, the space is all about connections, with a dedicated WiFi network power source to charge devices, all of which help visitors connect with other people, businesses and contacts at CDW.

It's your chance to win a beautiful Davison Highley design during Clerkenwell design week. In partnership with Yarwood leather our new Angel bench has been upholstered in gorgeous Cosmopolitan leather and is available for one lucky person to take home.

Just visit our showroom during clerkenwell Design Week and fill out (or attach your business card) to one of the competition postcards to register. Then keep your fingers crossed until the 1st July when the winner will be announced on Twitter by Yarwood Leather (
